• I trained with Joe for about a year and he was influential in the physical and healthy changes I made in my life and currently live by. He built a great foundation for me and shaped me into the strong athlete I am today. I never knew I will be able to do pushups or pull ups until I started training with Joe. I was able to do 15 strict pull ups after one month of training (pretty impressive for a girl) and sixty pushups in a minute. My squat and deadlift form was horrible during my first assessment with Joe, we worked on it, and I can currently back squat #260 (ATG) and deadlift #300. He understood me as an individual and knew just how much to push me to my limits, and he did, every session. This is very critical for a great trainer-client relationship. I have trained with several Olympic weightlifting coaches and trainers for two years now, and none have been able to know my strengths and how much to push me to optimal performance, Joe just got it and tried to get me to that breaking point. Once, I was doing a circuit with Joe where I had to perform at a certain time cap. After missing the time the first two trials, he told me how to readjust the exercises in the circuit, and I did the circuit under the time cap with seconds to spare. That says a lot about what a great and dedicated fitness professional Joe is, he trained me as a whole and made sure I was good at everything from deadlift to mobility."

  • I have been training with Joe for a little over a year and a half. When we initially began training, my goals were pretty typical, lose belly fat and the extra pounds I gradually gained since the birth of my son. I had some experience with cardio group classes but found it stressful to keep to the schedule. This coupled with the fact that I had experienced a back injury further contributed to my lack of motivation. So needless to say I wasn't really thinking of making a lifestyle change or becoming stronger when I first began training with Joe, I just wanted to fit into my clothes again.

    Our first sessions were definitely challenging to me and different from anything I had ever done before. Joe made me circuit train with weights and other equipment regularly (while always being mindful of my back injury), which is something I wasn't used to. I was initially resistant to and intimidated by this idea, however, Joe reassured me and explained to me that incorporating weight training would not only cause me to become leaner and more toned, but that this type of training would allow me to continue to burn fat after the workout was finished. I soon saw that he was very correct. I started seeing noticeable differences within 6 weeks and dropped two dress sizes within 12 weeks. But even more impressive were the unexpected benefits. I noticed that I had increased energy, slept better and felt stronger. Now that I have dropped three dress sizes and reduced my body fat percentage considerably, people sometimes ask me why I continue to train with Joe. It's very simple, he continues to motivate me and gets results! My workouts are always challenging and he pushes me to do things that I never thought I would be capable of. My fitness goals have evolved from just improving my physical appearance to becoming stronger and healthier.
